Your Glossary for events!

As a customer we may not be aware of all the industries and their terms. Hence, it is very important for us to know all the terms and acquire knowledge of each industry of our interest. 

We all attend parties and organise events but do you know the common terminologies used in every event?

On your right side, are some keywords that may be helpful to you!

RSVP: From the French phrase “Répondez s’il vous plaît,” it’s a request for invitees to confirm whether they will attend an event.

VIP: Stands for “Very Important Person,” often used to denote special guests or attendees at events.

Key Performance Indicator (KPI): Metrics used to evaluate the success of an event, such as attendance numbers, revenue generated, or attendee satisfaction ratings.

Candid photography is a style that captures spontaneous moments without the subjects posing or being aware of the camera. It aims to portray genuine emotions and interactions as they naturally occur, often in events, street scenes, or everyday life.

 

Cinematic videography refers to the art of creating video content that resembles the look and feel of a cinematic film. It involves using techniques such as creative framing, dynamic camera movement, strategic lighting, and post-production editing to evoke a cinematic experience for the viewer. This style of videography is often characterized by its storytelling prowess, visual appeal, and immersive atmosphere, akin to what one might experience in a movie theater.

Hybrid Event: An event that combines in-person and virtual components, allowing remote participants to engage with onsite activities through live streaming, online networking, and interactive features.

Floor Plan: A detailed layout or map of the event space, showing the location of exhibitor booths, stages, seating areas, and other key features.

AV (Audio-Visual) Equipment: Equipment and technology used for sound amplification, projection, lighting, and other multimedia aspects of events

Venue: The location where an event takes place, such as a conference center, hotel, or outdoor space.

Catering: Providing food and beverages for an event, including menu selection, preparation, and service.

DMX: Digital Multiplex, a communication protocol used to control lighting and effects equipment.

LED Wall: Large display screen composed of light-emitting diodes, used for dynamic visual presentations or backgrounds.
